That’s fair, but it’s not my brand of baseball. I’d like to see a comparison of how successful a collision at home is versus a slide, because my (biased) gut tells me a well-executed slide into home is the better tactical move, anyway.

  2. camanda said: It’s a weak argument, anyway. Keeping blacks out of baseball was “respectable for a long, long time.” So was thinking the Earth was flat and the sun revolved around it. Tradition can’t dictate what’s right or wrong, whether you liked the play or not.
