I briefly mentioned my new job in my last Dispatch; one thing I didn’t mention is that, in order to hire the most talented developers, designers, and product managers we can, our team is spread out across the nation, and we all use Skype to communicate during the day*.
This is great, but there’s no substitute for being in the same room as someone with whom you’re collaborating, and so we do meet-ups at least twice a year. This weekend, we’re all convening in Chicago.
Tomorrow we’re going to hack on a couple of projects, but Saturday we’re all hanging out in the city, and I would love to hear what the Chicagoans have to suggest we/I do.
